More Than 1

As a teacher, you often get to teach a whole family of kids. There were many times that I enjoyed the whole family and other times that I dreaded more than one kid in a family. There was one family that were very grateful for all that I did. They gave me presents and offered me extra money. I had two of their children. And, no, I did not take the money.

I had another family where one of their kids was super smart, kind, and helpful. But the other one was the complete opposite. He would kick the door, scream obscenities, and get into fights. One time I asked the other boy why his brother acted that way and his answer was, "he only does that at school because he wants to get out of class." Wow!

It's a neat feeling to know that you taught a whole family of children. Think about it...they will always remember you and you will forever be a part of their family. Wow!
